Congratulations!

We are very proud of my sister, Anne. Last Saturday she graduated from WMU! However that is not the biggest news. While my sister attended WMU, she was involved in ROTC. After graduation, we were honored to attend her commissioning ceremony for the United States Army. My sister is now a second lieutenant and is in the National Guard. She will be stationed here in Grand Rapids with the National Guard group that is based here. She has a lot of training this summer and plans on job searching in the fall when she returns. Congratulations Second Lieutenant Anne!

Olivia's First Play Date

Last week Olivia and I met up with her Aunt Jenni and cousin Aurora for a play date. What a trip! Olivia is almost 4 months old and Aurora is 9 months old so "play" is a relative term. Jenni and I took the girls to a park called "Frog Hollow". Jenni picked this park because there were swings with harnesses in them for babies. Aurora really had a good time, and I think Olivia enjoyed her first ride on a swing.

Better late than never!

I promised over a week ago that I would post pictures of Olivia from her weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Kovach's. Well I finally had an opportunity to scan the pictures into the computer (what can I say, my mom prefers her film camera...) and post them on the blog. We hope you enjoy these too.

Our First WEEKEND Away

On April 11 & 12, Chris and I spent our first weekend away from Olivia. We attended the 4th Degree Exemplification for the Knights of Columbus. This is a major event for the Knights, and it's fun getting all dressed up again. These are pictures of us and our friends at the dinner.

The important thing to remember with the Knights is "What happens with the Knights stays with the Knights!"

Meanwhile back at Grandma and Grandpa Kovach's...
Olivia stayed the weekend with my parents and apparently had a lot of fun. My mom taught her Polish songs and my dad was teaching her to call him "G-pa". I have to scan pictures of her at their house into the computer, so they will be posted soon.
